How to remove the Infrared filter from a logitech quickcam
I removed the IR lens in my logitech
quick cam, its very
easy.
First unplug the camera,
avoid tuching the sircuits, static electrisity is not your
friend...
1 loosen the shield
around the camera.
2 use a small
star screwdriver to loosen the screw thats inside the
hole
3 when the camera is open,
locate the two screws that holds the lens on the back of circuit
board
4 when lens housing is loose,
twist it against the clock until its opens
up
5 locate the IR filter, its
square with a magic purple light
6
use a small wooden stick to pop up the lens, (do not use metal, if you do then
you will destroy the glass and you cant restore the camera, then dooming you to
live with bats, vampire and B humans in the dark for the rest of your
life!!
7 do the same as pt 4-1 in
opposite direction
8 turn of all
lights, find a remote control, push it and feel the power of cats night-vision,
or maybe you are the next David
Attenborough
9 For daylight use a
exposed color-film as visible-light
filter.
10 do not use this to
surveillance your neighbors, surveillance is bad, Bad !
